Sometimes I just have a lot to say! Like when I just get back from a mission trip, or when I see God work in every day life. I want to share it with the world, but I don't always know how....so I am starting a blog! I have no idea what I am doing, but I'm giving it a shot. So here goes....
I just returned from the country of Belize at about 3:00 a.m. today. My first trip there, but my 3rd international mission trip. My other 2 have been in Brazil (which I will be writing a lot about too). I am still processing the trip, but to sum it up in a few words "it was amazing", or to use some of the many puns my team came up with this week, "un"belize"able. Of course I have found that any time God chooses to use you or anyone else to spread his good news, and people pray, it will always be amazing!
There is no way I could write all about this trip today, but I will list a few highlights, and elaborate later.
--I got to see children come to accept Christ and adults reconcile to God.
--I saw many seeds planted in a community where a new church and ministry will begin soon.
--I saw God's love manifested through my small team of adults, youth, and college students
--I have never sweated so much!
--I took showers outside with only a tarp between me and the outdoors with my team just feet away. (Way out of my comfort zone of privacy) and the shower was a small pvc pipe ran straight up from the ground connected to another pipe where the water came out. No hot water, but it always felt good!
--God will always equip you for the work ahead!
That is all for today. I hope you will stay tuned for the stories to come. I leave you with this,
"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6
Just the girls with our awesome team leaders from Thirst Missions Luda and Aldolfo!
Beautiful, Angie. I love your love for Jesus and your willingness to follow where you faith leads. Keep sharing your stories.
ReplyDeleteI love reading about what God does on these mission trips. You and Brandi have such a beautiful way of expressing how God is working in your lives and the lives of those around you! It blesses me every time I read what you write.
